Holemasters back the Diamonds for the Ninth Season

Since 2016, the Holemasters Group, which includes Holemasters Scotland and Holemasters Fire Protections, have proudly sponsored Airdrieonians. Our role as main club sponsors began in 2017. As we reflect on our incredible journey over the past few years, we are excited to further extend our strong relationship with the Diamonds.Rhys celebrating

Holemasters is delighted to be part of a club that is achieving success both on and off the pitch. We are immensely grateful for this ongoing partnership.

“We are delighted to be part of the Diamond family and look forward to the new season. We are honoured to be one of the longest-standing sponsors in the modern era and hope the team continues to grow and progress. Our relationship with the club and the community is a large part of our core beliefs, and we feel that this is vital to the development of Airdrie as a whole.”

Airdrieonians director Gordon Watson has expressed similar sentiments, noting: “Holemasters have been with us since our days at the wrong end of League 1, and we are delighted that they are continuing to join us on this exciting journey. Our thanks go to the McArthur family for continuing their support as the club continues to take huge strides in the right direction.”

We eagerly anticipate another season of proudly seeing the Holemasters name on the famous Diamond shirt and exploring the commercial and community opportunities that our partnership brings.

Holemasters sends it’s condolences

Holemasters Scotland would like to pass on our heart felt condolences to the Crocker family on the passing of their father, Alistair (Mick) Crocker.

Mick was the founder of Corecut one of the UK’s leading Diamond Drilling companies.

Mick was an absolute pleasure to work for, and alongside, and helped shape the industry to what it is in Scotland today.

Group Managing Director Jim McArthur said “Working for Mick in the early days was hard but enjoyable. I think it’s fair to say we would not be where we are today without the knowledge gained from working for Mick. He will be missed.”

Holemasters signs up

Holemasters Scotland Ltd are delighted to announce that our main sponsor package with Airdrieonians Football Club has been extended until the end of season 2018/19.

Airdrieonians reported – Holemasters and the McArthur family have become synonymous with Airdrieonians FC in recent years, and their decision to support the new era at the club further enhances the ambitious business planning for next season.

Club chairman Bobby Watson stated: “Holemasters and Jazz McArthur’s contribution towards this football club in the past and

moving forward is very much appreciated by the board of directors and our supporters.”

“We need local companies who are proud of the town of Airdrie to help us push the endeavours of our wee club, and Holemasters and many others are making a valued contribution.”

“Douglas Allsop and our board will continue to network with our business community to find ways for us all to work collectively in advancing the good name of our club.”

Jazz McArthur, Managing Director of Holemasters added: “We are very happy to continue to support our local team.

“We can see that next season’s plans at the club are shaping up, and Holemasters wish to continue to be part of what we feel will be a stable and successful period for the football club.”

Holemasters back Maggie’s

Holemasters are proud to announce that Maggie’s Cancer Care will now feature on the back of the Airdrieonians FC home shirt for the forthcoming season.

Rather than have our logo on front and back we decided to work in conjunction with the charity and Airdrie FC to come up with a programme that will not only boost Maggie’s profile locally and nationally, but also help strengthen their funds which are needed to keep the centre open.Holemasters with Maggies

Fundraising Manager Gayle Cobain explained more about the charity. “A diagnosis of cancer brings with it tough questions, exhausting treatment and difficult emotions that can range from isolation to loneliness. This affects not only the person with cancer but their friends and family too. Maggie’s Lanarkshire provides free practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer and their family and friends. Maggie’s is here for everyone and anyone affected by cancer, offering a program of support that has been shown to strengthen physical and emotional wellbeing.”

Built on the grounds of Monklands Hospital, Maggie’s Lanarkshire is a warm and welcoming place with professional staff on hand to offer the support needed for people affected by cancer to find their way through illness. The calm and tranquil setting is a place to find practical advice about benefits and eating well; a place where qualified experts provide emotional support; a place to meet other people or simply to sit quietly with a cup of tea.

Centre Head Lorrie Forsyth said: “Everyone at Maggie’s Lanarkshire is hugely grateful to Airdrie FC and Holemasters for their amazing support. The awareness and funds they raise for Maggie’s will help enable to us to continue to support the thousands of people affected by cancer who come to Maggie‘s Lanarkshire every year seeking our help. We are really excited to welcome the Airdrie team to Maggie’s Lanarkshire at Monklands Hospital, a place which is calm, uplifting and inspiring – for everyone with cancer and their families and friends too. It cost approximately £2,400 per day to fund Maggie’s Lanarkshire, and we rely on the kindness and generosity of people and companies to ensure this range of support can be offered to anyone affected by cancer.”

David McArthur from Holemasters has been a massive driving force behind the unique initiative. He said: “Having both back of strip sponsorship and main front sponsorship, we were able to use this opportunity to be able to showcase Maggie’s Lanarkshire this season”.

“It’s an incredible facility to have in Airdrie and I know the work they do helps so many people. It’s only right that in turn we help them as much as we can.”

Commercial Manager, Douglas Allsop, from Airdrie FC explained: “While there is little that Scottish football teams can do financially to support charities like Maggie’s, we can most certainly offer a platform to boost awareness, and offer a vehicle for them to promote events throughout the year.

“While the logo will hopefully receive a lot of attention in the press over the season, they (along with St. Andrew’s Hospice) will also receive programme and trackside space. Boardroom spaces will be given to them to auction off at their fundraisers, and we will also be setting out a programme of events at the Centre where the players and staff from the club will visit to offer support and help.

I was delighted that we had two Airdrie fans who are Centre users at the launch. 76 year old Joe Marshall – who has been following Airdrie since the 50’s and is still a season ticket holder, and Lynsey Caldwell, who was a very close friend of the late Mark Allison who featured on the strips last season as a mark of respect.

“It was Mark’s association with Maggie’s which has started the whole idea, and I am sure he would be delighted.”

Lynsey added: “Mark was full of personality and had a zest for life. He had an ability to get things done and didn’t just talk the talk, he walked the walk too. He was pro-active in his support for Maggie’s and felt that a relationship with his football club would be a huge leap forward in building awareness of the work that they do”.

The new strips will be on show for the first time this Saturday, when Airdrieonians take on Alloa at Excelsior Stadium, kick off 3:00pm.

Holemasters announced as main club sponsor

Holemasters Scotland Limited have stepped up their current sponsorship deal with Airdrieonians Football Club by becoming main shirt sponsor in addition to their current two year deal with the club.

Holemasters are a nationwide Concrete Cutting & Diamond Drilling Specialist and have certainly drilled deep to support the Diamonds. The deal is for 17/18 with an option for 18/19 and under the new sponsorship deal Holemasters will become the main home shirt sponsor as well as retaining the ‘back of shirt’ sponsorship deal currently in place.

Airdrie Front SponsorThis gives the Diamonds the boost and security they need as they start the new season.

Chairman Jim Ballantyne said: “Holemasters came on board last season on the back of the shirt and the relationship has been developing ever since.

“It is a fantastic forward thinking company that operates across the whole of Scotland therefore the football platform can match that coverage.”

He continued: “However, the company also takes its social and community responsibility very seriously and this investment also falls in to that category.”

David McArthur of Holemasters said: “As a local company we take great pride in the fact that we sponsor our local team.

“Having already been half way though our initial deal with the club we saw an opportunity to boost our image further and to show our commitment to the club.

“We have enjoyed our involvement with Airdrieonians but when we realised the challenge the Club was facing, it was not a difficult decision.”

With the Diamonds just missing out on promotion last season they go forward with the ambition of building on last season’s success.

Holemasters branding will debut on the home shirts and additional branding will be seen around the stadium from Saturday, 12th of August for the Ladbrokes League One match against Arbroath.

Airdrieonians ‘Diamond Sensory Room’

Holemasters are pleased to donate resources for Airdrieonians ‘Diamond Sensory Room’.

Airdrieonians have become the first football club in Scotland with a sensory room at home games, allowing children with Sensory Process Disorders such as autism to attend matches in comfort. The sensory room is the brainchild of the club’s commercial manager Dougy Allsop and one of the Youth Academy coaches Stevie Burr. Stevie has a son with autism and approached Dougy to see if anything could be done.
The Airdrie Supports Trust have been trying to raise money to equip the room and Holemasters are happy to help. With a donation of brand new projector and toys we hope this will benefit all who use the room.

Airdrie fan Mary Brogan has also set up a Justgiving page, and is encouraging anyone who can to make a donation. Mary and her son Arran benefitted from the generosity of the Airdrie fans last year, when they came together to create a dream garden for Arran.

Jasmine Turner – European Championships

Holemasters are delighted to announce we are supporting Jasmine Turner who recently qualified for the ITF Taekwon-Do Championships in Liverpool this year.

At only 12 years old Jasmine Turner from Chapelhall is the youngest female to be selected to represent Scotland at the European Championships 2017. This year the competition will be held in Liverpool. Jasmine, who is a 1st year pupil at Caldervale High School in Airdrie, has managed to achieve a Black Belt in May 2016 after taken part in the martial art for 4 years – what an achievement!

JasmineAlthough the sport is well recognised there is very little funding available and even less funding is available for young competitors. As you can imagine the financial burden placed on families is quite extensive, considering competitors have to buy two sets of kit (Blue and Red), travel to the venues and stay at the venues to name a few.

So we decided to get on board and make sure there was no issues for Jasmine as she represents Scotland at the Championships.

We wish her all the very best and we’ll keep you updated on her progress!
